About Ralo

Ralo started
with our own home.

A family, a piece of land and a new beginning in Playas del Coco.

Roberto and Angela with their children, Liliana and Oliver

In 2020, we moved to Playas del Coco with our daughter and our son on the way. Roberto was working in supply chain and logistics for Coca-Cola, and Angela was working remotely for a company in the United States.

We bought a lot, worked through plans and met with construction companies. In the end, we decided to manage the construction ourselves and subcontract the labor.

After we finished our home, people in the community began asking for help with their own projects. That's how Ralo began.

Ralo is named for our family. “Solutions” reflects the idea that we can help with different kinds of projects and the practical things that come with owning a property.

Two backgrounds.
One home.

Roberto is Costa Rican and Angela is from the United States. Having built our family and our business in Guanacaste, we understand both the local way of doing things and the perspective of clients who are building or owning property in Costa Rica from abroad.

Growing through
the work.

Over time, we both left our previous jobs to focus on Ralo. Casitas Fénix became our first complete client build, while we continued working on kitchens, bathrooms, remodels, repairs and smaller improvements.

Along the way, we built relationships with suppliers and tradespeople, many of whom we still work with today.
